Welcome to the online home of the Croatian Studies Foundation. Established in 1984 in Sydney, Australia; we are the first independent, non-for-profit organisation promoting the knowledge of the Croatian language, culture and anthropological studies in the Southern Hemisphere. CROATIAN STUDIES CENTRE

The Croatian Studies Centre (CSC) was established within the School of Modern Languages at Sydney’s Macquarie University in 1994. The Centre offers learning programs of the Croatian language, culture, and history at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The Centre also has a comprehensive library of Croatian publications and books and provides an archive facility for the Croatian Studies Foundation (CSF). The Centre is engaged in academic research and publication activities and supports and organises conferences and symposia. It publishes the Croatian Studies Review, which is published in English making the Centre’s research to available to both Croatian and non-Croatian speaking readers.

CSF GOVERNING COUNCIL

The Governing Council of the Croatian Studies Foundation is elected every year at the Annual General Meeting of the CSF members and directors. The Council members are responsible for the programmatic and financial management of the Foundation and its activities.

Our 2020 Council represents a diverse group of professionals with a common interest in promoting the Croatian language, culture, anthropological research,  and intercultural relations in the Southern Hemisphere. The Council is committed to creating rich, lasting and productive relations with the education sector,  cultural, research and arts-related organizations and the broader Australian public.
