Narona-Vidovic Achievement Award for the best Croatian Studies student

Every year one of the Croatian Studies students is awarded for his/her achievements. The award has been sponsored by Narona - Vidović family from Canberra.

In 2019 the recipient of the award was Mark Matic, who started learning Croatian at Macquarie in 2017 as part of a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Ancient Languages (Greek, Latin and Hebrew).

Mark has just returned from his extended, one-year stay to Croatia where he continued to learn the language. He is completely fluent now and has spent the last few months working as a translator and writing about Croatian language and culture.

Mark is also the newest member of the CSF Governing Council. Congratulations, Mark!
