Dr LUKA BUDAK AWARD FOR LANGUAGE AND CULTURE

The CSF are very pleased to announce that this year will be inaugurating our first annual CSF Dr Luka Budak Award for Language and Culture.

The aim of this annual award is to recognise the achievements of students who attend Croatian community schools right across Australia. The award is named after Luka Budak, founder of Croatian Studies at Macquarie University on one of the key drivers of developing and promoting Croatian language in Australia.

We will be awarding four awards of $200 each in the following categories:

  • Award for best performing beginner who commenced Croatian this year                  
  • Award for best performing primary school student (Kindergarten to Year 6)  
  • Award for best performing Year 7 to 10 student                                                         
  • Award for best performing Year 11 to 12 student   

If you are a teacher or from a school committee, we would love to hear about your best students and recognise them for their diligence and passion towards Croatian language and culture.

Student nominations made by teachers and or school committee members will only be considered.
